On Sunday I got a up close and personal with one of my own patterns around money – going unconscious. Yes, all too often, I go unpresent when dealing with money. On Sunday, at the end of a workshop I gathered the payments together, holding the crisp notes in my hand as I chatted to a participant.

We decided to go together to look at the campus gardens, and I remember instinctively lifting my hand to put the notes into the front pocket on my jeans. I can remember thinking that putting the money there would crumple the money, something I didn’t want to do. The next thing I remember is walking along the path discussing the gardens. The memory of what I actually did with the money was simply missing!

This is exactly the process of manifesting what you don’t want. Going unpresent!  By doing that on Sunday I could have lost my takings for the day. Lying in the back pocket of my jeans, those notes could have been washing-machined to nothing!

So, with three clicks of my fingers, (which I call the click tool, a way of creating a gap between an event and a response) I will sharpen my money practice and invite myself to be present. When I am present, I am in the presence of the Divine Life Force, God.

Say YES to everything running through you

Phew. As I journey with my own manifestation aspirations I keep coming up against one potent and sabotaging pattern in myself:  There is a part of me that wants money to give to others – even from my lack!  I not only  love giving, but feel compelled in some seemingly lovely way.  But this pattern is more than lovely and generousl. I see now it’s a way of saying a sneaky but nonetheless clear NO to personal abundance. The way forward? Simply acknowledge that this pattern is active. No resistance but acceptance. Using fix it energy only serves to keep unhelpful patterns firmly in place.

This is me, doing what I so love! teaching and working with a group! I had two seminars this weekend and had a great turnout.

One question that was asked that has stayed in my mind is this”HOW DO I KEEP THE FAITH?” My sense is that the person asking this was how do I keep motivated and working with myself in a way that I really really believe it’s going to happen?

So, here are the things I do to keep my inner fires burning bright:

1. I listen to CDs of teachers, over and over and over. In the car, when I get dressed, whenever!

2. I keep my objective/intention in my face – signs to myself all over.
3. I practice my manifestation movements to make sure my cells are vibrating with my intention.
4. I meditate to keep myself (or get myself) connected with my heart.
5. I exercise regularly, especially yoga.

How I get help from Spirit

When I do coaching, when I work with groups, I get these ‘downloads’ or intuitive flashes about the person or situation. Sometimes it’s an image, sometimes it’s a sentence and sometimes it’s a knowing. I was recently working with a client, coaching her on her goals to get her business revenues up. She was the ideal client – dedicated to growth, applying everything I offered her, and still her business wasn’t performing. As we considered this, I had a knowing moment – suddenly I knew that her staff were stealing.

The information came out of the blue, and of course there was no guarantee that it was true. As a coach all I could do was suggest that she look into it. Yesterday I met with her again and she told me that she had discovered her staff were stealing, she had dealt with the problem and the store revenue had shot up!
How wonderful for her, and amazing for me to get such clear confirmation! I always feel a little shy, not wishing to boast, but nonetheless simply being thankful that I can bring that extra spiritual aspect to my work. I feel blessed, excited and abundant. It’s not me. It’s Spirit working through me. And I give thanks that it is so. (and wow, look at this picture taken of me with my grandson…… looks a little mystical too)

Personal Power- Sacred Power- What is it?

Its incredibly difficult, if not painful, to try to move your life forward – and up –  without being supported by your personal power. We all have personal power. But many and most have disconnected from it because they are afraid of it in various forms.

As children we learn powerlessness, but as adults we need to reclaim it.  How we do this, and whether we are aligned to our Soul & Spirit at the time, will determine whether our power will be ‘corrupt’, expressing itself as power over people and game playing, or whether it will lead to raising your consciousness,  benefiting not only yourself, but everyone.  It is vital to know this. It’s even more important to know how to bring yourself into this alignment. It doesn’t take 10 hours of meditation or continual acts of kindness. All it takes it 3 minutes of conscious breathing a day. Conscious breathing is the first connection to the Divine, and by deliberating including this practise in your life, your vibrational reality will change amazingly, connecting you to more of your Soul self,  more often.

Conscious breathing is something I keep referring to and writing about and if you do nothing but this as your spiritual practise, you will be doing a brilliant practice!  Here’s how:

 1. find a quiet place where you will be undisturbed

2. set an alarm for three minutes so that you can completely let go and not worry about the time

3. close your eyes and bring your attention on your breathing

4. breathe in for the count of 4, pulling air to  your tummy so that it expands, hold it for 2 seconds, and then softly exhale for the count of 6, hold it out for 2  seconds.

5. Repeat this breathing until your alarm clock goes.

Your focus is simply on breathing and counting. At first you might find your mind chips in, chattering away about what you need to do or other such stuff. When that happens, gently bring your attention back to the process of counting your breaths in and out. Just become breathing and counting, counting and breathing. The beauty of this is that not only do you align yourself to your Soul and Spirit Self, but starting off each day with this exercise gives you a sense of control of your life – and this type of breathing releases feel- good chemicals in the brain. This simple practise centres you in yourself, your power and life!

‘Imagine that the universe is a great spinning engine. You want to stay near the core of it – right in the hub of the wheel – not out at the edges where all the wild whirling takes place, where you can get frayed and crazy. The hug of calmness, that your heart, that where God lives within you, where you will always find peace. ‘  Anon

Pull Yourself Together

Your car is German. Your pizza is Italian. Your beer is Mexican. Your wine is French. Your democracy is Greek. Your coffee is Brazilian. Your tea is Chinese. Your watch is Swiss. Your fashion is British. Your shirt is Indian. Your shoes are Thai. Your radio is Korean. Your vodka is Russian. And then complain: your …neighbour is an immigrant?
Pull yourself together!

(from my friend Jayne. I quite agree Jayne! Copy this if you are against racism and xenophobia and know that the essence of each person is a Soul of radiant energy)

The soul’s role is to bring you home, back to Spirit using a set of experiences and circumstances as the learning platform. We get back home to Spirit  self when we connect with spiritual possibilities. We get back home when our human choices resonate with the higher possibilities of the Divine.
The mystic texts refer to this great task and even tell us how we got to be so removed from the Divine Life Force. Levi explains the Creation and our fall from Grace in his Aquarian Gospel :
“The Triune God breathed forth, and seven Spirits stood before his face… these spirits moved on the face of boundless space and seven ethers were, and every ether had its form of life. These forms of life were but the thoughts of God, clothed in the substance of their ether planes… they are composed of substance far too fine for fleshly eyes to see, and still they constitute the soul of things. And in their native planes all creatures are supplied with nourishment from the ethers of their planes. Because all forms of life on every plane are thoughts of God, all creatures think, and every creature is possessed of will, and, in its measure, has the power to choose….
And so it was with every living thing, until the will became a sluggish will, and then the ethers of the protoplast, the earth, the plant, the beast, the man began to vibrate very slow. The ethers all became more dense, and all the creatures of these planes were clothed with coarser garbs, the garbs of flesh, which men can see; and thus this courser manifest, which men call physical appeared. And this is what is called the fall of man; but man fell not alone for protoplast, and earth, and plant and beast were all included in the fall. The angels and the cherubim fell not; their wills were ever strong and so they held the ethers of their planes in harmony with God.”
This is it, in a nutshell! read it, re-read it, and read it again until it explodes in your psyche, when that happens nothing will be the same again!

By Anne Dickson from her book, A woman in your own right.
I discovered these in the 80’s in a book about standing up for your rights as a woman. They revolutionised my behaviour and approach to life, and I taught them to my children as well. Please don’t just read them and nod your head. Print them out and read them to yourself every day until you know them off by heart. Then they will take root, then they will inform and cue more empowered behaviour.

The Spiritual Benefits of Living in Community

Western living is increasingly isolated. Economic empowerment creates self sufficiency which is wonderful, but it also enables the family unit to operate independent of the extended family and deep social contact. Many people are so self contained and busy they don’t even say hello to their neighbours let alone know their names or what goes on behind their doors.

When I lived in Findhorn, a spiritual community and education centre in Scotland, I discovered the true power and benefits of community – it feeds the Soul! Engaging each person in a journey of personal growth, it asks you to go to new places in yourself in order to get on with everyone (challenging), discover how to be authentic when you don’t like certain people (eeek), decide whether to talk through conflicts (which are many, spiritual community or not) or ignore them – and more!

Before I lived in community (and yes for a good while during my stay) I avoided conflict and tricky encounters with all my being. If I couldn’t contain myself and had a tiff or run in I would shrink into my inner shell and hide emotionally. But by the end of my 3 years at Findhorn I had learned to manage myself into doing the opposite, and boy was it healing! Learning to talk through conflict and unhappiness with community members invited me to meet more parts of myself. But I was only able to do this because of the love and support of the community who offered me tools and encourage me as I took each tentative step. That’s the beauty of having deep community relationships.
If you wish to create a robust aligned connection with your Soul it’s essential that you engage meaningfully in community ie. get involved! The rich landscape of feelings that other people bring up are wonderful mirrors that when looked into offer you much more than company.  Deep dialogues and sharing create a sense of togetherness that speaks of the true oneness of all life.  Conflicts and troubles are in essence a call to greater intimacy -when embraced they bring intimacy with yourself. So look at your life today and make the steps to strip away isolating barriers. Step forward to meet more of yourself, stand in your centre and live aligned to Soul – in community!

As we bring this series to a close taking yourself through a completion is important. Doing this will leave you with a sense of accomplishment, clarity on what you’ve got out of the course and what you need to do next.

How to do that:

1. Write down your intentions/goals set at the beginning. Assess your progress, noticing the feelings that arise. Yes or No? How stuck/how free?
2. Rate how committed you were to the goal and the process – without judgement. Low commitment = resistance to money.
3. Browse all the lessons then write a short list of your key insights – and list another of the manifesting tools you learned
4. Highlight those that worked well for you, and mark those which you will continue using as part of your daily practise. Commit to them.
5. Decide to teach these to someone in your life when the opportunity arises (we teach what we most need to learn)
6. State your next steps and develop an intention ( which might be a continuing of the old one).
7. Close your eyes and give thanks to the group and the learning, send light to our little community and then release it with love.

Thanks for joining me in a wonderful journey of manifesting and sharing. May your next steps be filled with new awareness, a deep connection with your Soul and a powerful sense that your life is guided and held.
