PRAYER (FOR THOSE WHO BATTLE TO TRUST LIFE)

This saying became my mantra for a year. I copied it out, decorated it with a drawing and put it on my wall. (I also insisted it went into the communal kitchen for everyone else to see!)  Every time I read it, something deep inside me shifted.

TRUST

Don’t waste your life for that which is going to be taken away. Trust Life.

If you trust only then can you drop your knowledge

only then can you put your mind aside.

And with trust something immense opens up.

Then this life becomes full of God, overflowing.

When the heart is innocent and the walls have disappeared you are bridged with infinity.

And you are not deceived; there is nothing that can be taken away from you.

That which can be taken away is not worth keep and that which cannot be taken away form you, why should one be afraid of it being taken away?

It cannot be taken away, there is no possibility. You cannot lose your real treasure.

By Anne Dickson from her book, A woman in your own right.
I discovered these in the 80’s in a book about standing up for your rights as a woman. They revolutionised my behaviour and approach to life, and I taught them to my children as well. Please don’t just read them and nod your head. Print them out and read them to yourself every day until you know them off by heart. Then they will take root, then they will inform and cue more empowered behaviour.
Enjoy!

PERSONAL THOUGHTS – STOP BEING SO SERIOUS….!

It’s easy to get over serious about spiritual matters but nothing could be farther from the truth. Having fun replenishes your energies and keeps them moving. And what are those energies but very Soul itself. If you want to keep aligned to your Soul, it’s absolutely essential to have fun.

I recently worked on a challenging project and towards the end, the delivery date, I noticed how locked on to the task I was, and how little enjoyment I was getting from doing it. Right then and there I decided ‘if I’m going to do this (which I definitely was) I going to enjoy it!’. That choice didn’t change what I was doing. It changed something a lot more important – my approach and my energies. And although I was still concerned about how it was going to pull together, I was more resolute I would enjoy it. What a difference that made!
So this week I urge you whether you are reconciling your bank statements from way back when, studying for an exam, doing cold calls or washing the dishes, decide, really really decide that if you’re doing it, you’re going to have fun while you are. Fun is a simple choice away! One that your Soul is longing you to take.

MANIFESTING MONEY – FINAL LESSON

As we bring this series to a close taking yourself through a completion is important. Doing this will leave you with a sense of accomplishment, clarity on what you’ve got out of the course and what you need to do next.

How to do that:

1. Write down your intentions/goals set at the beginning. Assess your progress, noticing the feelings that arise. Yes or No? How stuck/how free?
2. Rate how committed you were to the goal and the process – without judgement. Low commitment = resistance to money.
3. Browse all the lessons then write a short list of your key insights – and list another of the manifesting tools you learned
4. Highlight those that worked well for you, and mark those which you will continue using as part of your daily practise. Commit to them.
5. Decide to teach these to someone in your life when the opportunity arises (we teach what we most need to learn)
6. State your next steps and develop an intention ( which might be a continuing of the old one).
7. Close your eyes and give thanks to the group and the learning, send light to our little community and then release it with love.

Thanks for joining me in a wonderful journey of manifesting and sharing. May your next steps be filled with new awareness, a deep connection with your Soul and a powerful sense that your life is guided and held.

THE POWER TO COMMAND MONEY INTO YOUR LIFE

Those who have struggle in any way with financial lack often develop an ostrich approach to money, hiding from the fact –  because they are simply so scary. So the project this week is to know what you know about your finances by developing a budget. Look back at the last month and assess what you have spent. Total it up by categories that reflect your average spend. For instance R1000 on food, R3000 on rent etc. Don’t be fussy. Dithering and making a big issue of this exercise is simply part of the lack way of living. Invite yourself to keep it simple.

As you do this project notice the sensations in your body. When started doing it did your stomach clench? Did you heart beat faster? As you look at your what you spent  did you feel nauseas or completely happy and uplifted? When you totalled up the amount did you feel panicky? Do the project on a dual highway of awareness –on the one hand the facts and figures, on the other your emotional response. These physical sensations are simply information. Ask a neutral observer to come forward and notice them without judgement. Then write down everything that happened. For example if your stomach tightened at the beginning and got tighter and tighter until it was a little ball at the end, you would write that, noticing you were in physical clamp down the entire time.

Physical contraction or constriction is what I call the NO state.  When the NO state is active around money, it closes you down and repells money. When the YES state, joy, pleasant anticipation and relaxed expansion, is active your beeper is ON shouting to the universe ‘MEGA MONEY COME HERE’. In YES states you are attractive to money. As you do this be aware that ff, like I had, you are seriously afraid and contracted in money issues, your healing journey will be a gradual process. And awareness is the only thing you need to trigger a natural healing process that lives within you and knows how to run without your help. If you try to stop a NO state, or change it, it makes it worse. There are ways to shift, but for now its very useful for you to discover the action of YES and NO energies in you when you are dealing with money.

So happy journeys with your mega money manifestation project!

MANIFESTING MONEY Lesson 8: Terrified you can’t pay your bills?

Our manifestation project is working brilliantly!  I know this because many have been reporting a full on experience of the inner barriers that lie between them and their money goals. What is this full on experience?  Fear, worry and lack! now what’s the best approach to that fear?
Yes, these moments are scary and downright confusing at a logical level. But at a Soul level they makes complete sense since we have invoked healing of your relationship to money, mega money, and so everything that needs to be healed has come up and shown you its face. The worst thing you can do is try to fix it, stop it or resist in anyway. Rather hold your mega money intention firmly in your mind, and encourage your scared-self to breath deep, stand fully in the present moment, and feel every single tinge of angst. Anything (fear included) fully experienced turns to bliss. This process of unpacking your feelings about money is essential to becoming attractive to mega money.
So that you really get where I’m coming from on this relationship with money  idea let me explain it in another way. I have two friends who cycle to work. One has a car and a bicycle, and chooses to cycle to work because it’s healthy, fun and environmentally friendly. The other has no car and cycles to work because that is his primary mode of transport. Both have bikes, both cycle to work.
From the outside the facts are the same. But in truth the situations are very different. Why? Because their relationship with their bike is completely different. To the one with the car, the bike is a ‘nice to have’, to the other it is a ‘ have to have’. If the bike got stolen from the one who has a car the theft would be inconvenient, but not major. However if the bike got stolen from the one who used his bike to get everywhere, it dramatically affects their way of life. From this we see how the facts and situation do not create our experience of life, rather how our relationship to the facts is responsible for our experience of life.
Your relationships are deeply influenced by your beliefs, patterns needs, wants, personality and life situation. Your relationship with your feelings about money is also defined by these things. For instance if you need to be have lots of money in your life feel ok about yourself, experiencing lack will be an intense and loaded  experience that you are likely to resist. To another personality who doesn’t have money as a source of validation, not having money wouldn’t have such a strong negative charge.
So to get ourselves in touch with and working in harmony with the power of our feelings about money, we need to develop an understanding of our relationship to our them. For this, it’s essential that you give yourself permission to feel them. To help you do this in a supported way, here’s a fabulous new tool, the karate chop technique. It is from EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) www.eftuniverse.com
The karate chop
It’s done with the hands. That’s the beauty of it – it by-passes your mind and the rubbish it can tell you about yourself and money. With the karate chop you tap on energy pathways that lead to limiting feelings, bringing about the release of negative emotional states. This technique is brilliant to heal deep seated and even unconscious fears about money, having it – or the lack of it.
1. Tap the top of one hand with the finger tips of the other, starting by tapping the top part of the thumb as shown in the picture. You will state the difficult feeling experience as you do this always beginning with these words ‘ even though
 2. Continue to describe the negative feeling situation as you continue tapping over the top of the hand towards the baby finger.
 3. Once you have tapped your way to the end of your hand complete the exercise with a karate chop movement as shown in the picture, chopping the same point in each hand at the fleshy edge together several times as you say these words  ‘…. I deeply love and accept myself’.
So let’s apply this fabulously releasing technique to a money scenario. Let’s say your income has dropped off to levels where you can’t pay your bills.  In this situation, the sentence you will speak as you tap and chop will be something like this:
‘Even though I am so scared that I have no money. A part of me feels like I’m going to die. I feel like lying down and giving up. I think about what I’m going to say to my landlord and I freeze. And then I remember I don’t have money for petrol and I feel sick.  I deeply love and accept myself.’
The combining of the sentence with the tapping sequence will be something like this:
‘Even though I am so scared that I have no money
A part of me feels like I’m going to die

I think about what I’m going to say to my landlord and I freeze

I feel like lying down and giving up.
And then I remember I don’t have money for petrol and I feel sick
[KARATE CHOP] I deeply love and accept myself.
Congratulations! You have just learned a life changing technique. Tap this out in sequences of three. This helps you discover more layers. And do the karate chop as often as you can – whenever you feel any money niggle arise – the more you do it, the more you release. Even better do it on the hour every hour as well. As you set out to do this consider these wise words of Lao Tzu:  ‘all difficult things have their origin in that which is easy and great things in that which is small’.  Each time you acknowledge your feeling about money and work with it in this small way, you’re putting your feet onto the path to mega money!

MANIFESTING MONEY Lesson 7: Working too Hard can Block Success

Working to manifest your goals the Soul way asks you to drop some old behaviour patterns, ie. The less money you have, the harder you work. Look around you and you will know hard work is not a guarantee of more money, yet most of us go into jive bunny mode when the bucks are not flowing into the bank as we would want.

To manifest money effectively you’ll have to become friends with idea that right action comes from the flow of life. It’s core concept of my book Ride the River (it is useful to get a copy).
Here’s an excerpt that introduces this concept:
Without conscious awareness, pushing the river is the default model in today’s world. Everyone is pushing simply because society has conditioned us this way. From the time we were young we were told ‘work hard, play hard’ – the harder you work, the better the results – and you MUST get results! We are commanded to get results at school, and in sport, even our spiritual lives are results-driven. In our current model results define you; they make a statement of who you are. Without good results is your life worthwhile?
There’s a very subtle yet powerful difference between pushing the river and riding it, so subtle that perhaps a real life example of the two would best explain the difference. A friend of mine is dating a lady who is an interior decorator. One day she overheard her boss stressing about a particularly big deal which he had won to redecorate a chain of guest houses. Having struck the deal he found that the fabric selected for the furniture was out of stock and completely unavailable anywhere. This obviously delayed promised delivery times, putting the order in jeopardy. The last thing the boss wanted was the client to cancel the order.
As a result, and in conforming to the ‘push the river’ model, she heard her boss lying to the customer on the one side whilst abusing the supplier on the other. As is usual in the push the river model, the pusher was pushed to his limit and was having an awful time. All his negative energy was spilling over into the rest of the office.
Whilst other employees shrugged the situation off, the lady in question became interested in what was happening and, using her own time, popped into the client’s guest house to have a look. When she arrived and viewed the current décor it was immediately apparent to her decorating mind that the out of stock fabric was in fact not the best match for the rooms in question.
Upon returning to the office, still without telling her boss what she was doing, she  identified some fabric that she felt would be a far more attractive option.  On enquiry she discovered that there was no problem with availability of her suggested fabric – in fact they even had several bales in their own stock.
She called the client, explaining that she had visited his premises, and that she had identified some really super fabric which she would like to show him. When the client arrived and looked at the fabric sample, he immediately agreed with her assessment and readily signed a re-order for the different fabric.  Problem gone!
This story clearly demonstrates the difference between the push the river and ride the river model. The enraged and stressed boss, was enraged and stressed because he was having to push the deal through. He had a sense that all his efforts in securing the first deal were being undermined. He had a sense that life was stealing away what was rightfully his. He had a sense that life has an irritating way of going wrong. His model of the world made the whole affair angry and unresolved.
The vitally interested and involved decorator was motivated by a passion of beautiful houses. She had a sense of the lovely and wished to express it. She followed her heart’s leading at every turn, not for outcomes, but just because it was her make up,  and she was being true to it. Her model of the world swept problems effortlessly away. Ironically all the wasted energy of the boss yielded no results, whereas the sweet and easy energy of the love of décor produced superb results.’
So what does this look like in daily life:  when I’m catching a wave and I want to work work work, I do. I get up at 4am, because a woken with words or the desire to do stuff. I work on with high energy until 8 or 9pm. I’m saying yes to the surge of work energy, YES to the impulse to work.
But there are times when I feel tired, and the energy for work is gone, leaving behind a thin voice in my mind that say ‘but you’ve got to work’. I’ve learned however not to listen to this old and un-useful inner dialogue. I’ve learned to say YES to my NO. And so I take downtime, right in ‘worktime’. Like a surfer simply doing nothing but waiting and resting on his board for the next wave, I rest. I go to movies, I sleep late, I read. I don’t go into push-push mode. I wait until the surge, the impulse to work comes up from my feet again.
Here’s how to make this concept your own:
  • Write up another sign/affirmation that says ‘NO MORE PUSH-PUSH. RIGHT ACTION COMES FROM THE FLOW OF LIFE. ‘
  • Then keep observing how often you force yourself to push on when you should be waiting for the wave. Notice how difficult it is not to force yourself.
  • Have downtime when your system signals so. Some of you might be burnt out and will need more. Others will simply need to finetune what you’re already doing. Irrespective of where you’re at the sea of Life Force is under you, holding you up, and will bring you what you need. if you will just trust.
John Kehoe , author of t Mind Power’ says ‘Rest is not a reward for work well done. Rest is part of work.’ Give it a try!
