I have just experienced the most amazing reminder about how answers are given to us. It is not a voice in your head, nor a booming message from the heavens. It is life that speaks to us, talking to us all the time. Here is how it happened.
I was walking a client to his car after a coaching session which he had specifically arranged to help him find direction in his working life. He felt stuck and totally unclear. We had a brilliant session, very specific, one in which so much was revealed to him – surprising stuff that he was taken aback to discover. As we stood next to the car saying goodbye, a flock of twenty or more cranes flew directly overhead, so low down we simply couldn’t have not noticed them flying in a perfect arrowhead formation.
Wow! If there was any doubt in his mind that his questions had been answered, the birds were sent to sweep that doubt away. How much more confirmation could one need that he had just found the right direction?
I had had the miracle of such things happening to me so many times, but I was gobsmacked at yet another brilliant example of how life gives answers. If we will only notice, if only we will accept. But we are often so busy. We is so much chatter in our heads that most of us miss most of it. So, if you want an answer will you stop and look around you from now on? Stop the endless chatter of your mind, and let nature and circumstances teach you. Will you drop your disbelief? Just accept life is mystical. Revel in it! If you can, what lies ahead is a juicy, rich adventure, specially tailored for your unique needs.
Here’s another magnificent quote from one of my most favourite books, the Aquarian Gospel. Hope it inspires you too:
‘I would not stay the flow of your great streams of thought; but I would turn them to the channel of the soul.’
What I love about it is that it refers to the openness and expansiveness that is characteristic of alignment with your Soul.
At the moment I am finding myself extremely challenged at a level of personal safety and quickly I go into constricted mode, blocking my flow of energies of life and success. So I’m doing lots of meditation to help myself keep expansive. I have a brilliant toning done by Thomas Hubel, a spiritual teacher based in Germany, which really clears away much of emotional garbage. I’ll post his web details soon.
‘Am I taking the right actions to achieve my financial goals? Show me clearly, very clearly what I should do each day, every day, to achieve my money goals.’
Affirmations, visualisations and right behaviour are all good and well but unless you feel the thing you want in your body, it won’t come into your world.
The body is the mouth piece of the unconscious. Be wise. Listen to it. When the body resonates with your life goals and desires, you are aligned to the creative power of the universe. It becomes easy. When the body resonates with something else, ie what you might NOT want, that will bring confusion, discomfort and what you consider as failure.
‘There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest philosophies.’ Fredrich Nietzche
So what do we do if we realise that our outer efforts are in conflict with some inner process, or feeling? The answer is simple. Use the body to release the conflicting part. Use the body to bring about the healing. Use the body to inform. Use the body.
The body has infinite wisdom and power
There are 6 trillion chemical reactions in the human body every second, and each cell has its own intelligence which governs what happens in that cell. But did you know that each cell communicates with other cells? In fact each cell knows what every other cell in the body is doing. And even more astounding is how each cell tracks everything that is happening to every other cell in the body, including the 6 trillion biochemical processes that are happening to that cell each moment.
Moreover this overlighting body intelligence monitors what is happening outside itself too. Your body keep track of the sun, so that it can, for instance, secrete different chemicals in the day and different ones at night. One of those chemical changes is the secretion of melatonin which helps you go to sleep at night.
Imagine if the body didn’t monitor the sun and started pumping out melatonin during the day as you are driving your car! Oops. Not good. You rely on this amazing intelligence and ability to keep operating properly. Real success requires you to consciously work with this intelligence to achieve your life purpose. Dr David Hawkins says in his book Power vs. Force that the mind uses the body to think. Remember this fact. This realisation will empower you.
The body influences the universal energy field
We live in a big ocean of energy, and your energy field, the one held by and generated through your body, is forever interacting with that ocean. You, through you body, have the ability to influence the energy field of all of life, sending and receiving vibrations that affect, no, create, your very circumstances. What you do with your body, counts big time. Rumi says it like this: No prayer is complete without presence.
So much to learn about this. I recommend an excellent movie by Gregg Braden on YOU Tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP_JXkh9m-A
In her closing remarks in her very last (and large) show, Oprah said that God’s hand had been on her business, implying that her incredible success was due to that. That comment really stuck with me.
I started to ask myself, if her comment is true, what about those who try to live God-connected lives, who work hard and smart, but never achieve anywhere near Oprah’s success? Does that mean that God’s hand is NOT on their business? Does that mean that they will bust their gut, do their best, pour their talents, time and heart out, but that big ol’ hand will still be anywhere but hovering over them?
To be honest, asking myself this question has brought up stuff for me. I feel confused and sad. If my business is not a runaway success like Oprah, (even a mini version would do, er God…?) does that mean that God’s hand is withheld for some reason? And if so, what is the reason?
The implications are vast. Would God not put a hand on your business because of who you are? Or would it be conditional on you doing certain things in certain ways? Or does God prefer certain businesses to others? Or are the churches right, you need to repent your sins in order to receive the hand? Or does one person’s life path have the hand and the other not, simply by some esoteric new agey choice made at the beginning of this life?
Or maybe I am greedy, and the mere wanting a big hand makes sure all I get is a small hand? On the other hand, (there seem to be lots hands in this article) if Gods hand is the success factor in business, does it mean if a business is successful, that God’s hand is on it? Then I get to ask: what about massively wealthy empires built on crime, destruction and anything but Godly behaviour? I find it difficult to even consider that the big ol’ hand is on those businesses!
Searching for the answers to the big ol’ hand is feeling like a punch in the stomach at the moment, and I can’t help noticing how upset I feel as I consider that God’s hand might not be present on my business and life affairs – or that maybe Oprah got the whole hand and I will only ever the baby finger tip.
The truth is that I could write a book on the ways I have experienced God in my life and my business. From a being of light appearing to me in my sleep telling me about a new business venture to hearing dictation as I wrote a new book, surely these are examples of God’s hand on my life? But since I am not that Oprah runaway success, does this mean that God’s hand only sweeps fleetingly over my life and then moves on? Do I have a timeshare situation with the hand? Or should I say the Hand?
I’m taking some downtime (that means I am lying in bed all day) to consider all this and what it means (I wonder if Oprah ever takes downtime in bed in a state of confusion? Maybe God’s hand only works for people who have unending energy and never feel confused….) and I am remembering a time in 2009. I had just returned from a trip to India (a trip given me as a gift – definitely a sweep of the ol’ hand!).
As I settled back into London life, one night I dreamt I had been called in by a client. Before I started running the session, I sit down and meditate. A fly is circling the room. As I meditate it comes gently to reset in my open hand. In the dream I do nothing. It buzzes off to circle the room again. I realise I could have simply closed my fingers to catch it. I keep meditating. Unexpectedly it circles and land directly back in my hand. I close my fingers and release it outside. I realise that the job for the client is done. They had called me in to take out the fly. Dream ends.
Inspired by remembering my dream, I realise that all these questions can be answered without effort. So now I meditate. And the answer to all these questions will simply arrive. In my hand. About God’s Hand.
God turns you from one feeling to another and teaches by means of opposites so that you will have two wings to fly, not one. Rumi
|Say YES to everything running through you|
Phew. As I journey with my own manifestation aspirations I keep coming up against one potent and sabotaging pattern in myself: There is a part of me that wants money to give to others – even from my lack! I not only love giving, but feel compelled in some seemingly lovely way. But this pattern is more than lovely and generousl. I see now it’s a way of saying a sneaky but nonetheless clear NO to personal abundance. The way forward? Simply acknowledge that this pattern is active. No resistance but acceptance. Using fix it energy only serves to keep unhelpful patterns firmly in place.
This is me, doing what I so love! teaching and working with a group! I had two seminars this weekend and had a great turnout.
One question that was asked that has stayed in my mind is this”HOW DO I KEEP THE FAITH?” My sense is that the person asking this was how do I keep motivated and working with myself in a way that I really really believe it’s going to happen?
So, here are the things I do to keep my inner fires burning bright:
1. I listen to CDs of teachers, over and over and over. In the car, when I get dressed, whenever!
2. I keep my objective/intention in my face – signs to myself all over.
3. I practice my manifestation movements to make sure my cells are vibrating with my intention.
4. I meditate to keep myself (or get myself) connected with my heart.
5. I exercise regularly, especially yoga.

When I do coaching, when I work with groups, I get these ‘downloads’ or intuitive flashes about the person or situation. Sometimes it’s an image, sometimes it’s a sentence and sometimes it’s a knowing. I was recently working with a client, coaching her on her goals to get her business revenues up. She was the ideal client – dedicated to growth, applying everything I offered her, and still her business wasn’t performing. As we considered this, I had a knowing moment – suddenly I knew that her staff were stealing.
Say this prayer as you put money into a bag, jar or bottle every day. If you start with an easily achievable amount, it helps you open your heart to money – which is the whole objective of this exercise! Do this daily.. it will change your cellular response to money and help open that beautiful heart of yours.
This is inspired by two short affirmations written by Yogananda as part of A Horn Of Plenty. I loved them and started doing them daily:
Teach me to feel that Thou art the power behind all wealth and the value in all things
Knowing Thee (the divine life force/God/light etc) I will know all things through Thee
Help me manifest material and spiritual abundance through my knowledge of the oneness of all things
Help me earn appropriately, spend appropriately, keep appropriately and give appropriately
